Child Dedications
Child Dedications are an opportunity to partner with parents, as they express their desire to raise children who love God and love others. It is the beginning of commitment the church makes to help parents as they champion the spiritual walk of their child.
Why dedicate your child?
Parenting in the early years isn’t easy, but with direction and intentionality parents can begin to lay a strong spiritual foundation for their child.
Child Dedications are a time for parents to commit themselves to raising their children God’s way. It is a powerful moment for parents to embrace the responsibilities they’ve been given by God and catch the vision behind the impact they can make in their child’s life. That is why the church takes the time to recognize this commitment during a Child Dedication Ceremony and pray for the parents taking these steps.

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward decision for Christ.
We want baptism to be a memorable and meaningful decision that is made by your child. So, our Family Life Team takes the time to go over baptism in our Family Life Baptism Class and sit down for a one-on-one conversation with your child. This gives us an opportunity to meet you, hear your child’s heart, ensure they understand baptism, and allow you to ask any questions.
Baptism Classes are required for children and students who are in the 4th-8th grade and are ready to take their next step and be baptized.
Looking for a Bible?
PVC Kids loves to support families in finding a Bible that is just right for their child. The Bible is God’s word, and it is full of promises to encourage and give us hope. We want kids to love reading their Bible! So, if you need a place to start, these are a few we like, as well as age recommendations for each.
